Throughout the centuries women have been represented in art predominantly through the male gaze, or from a mans point of view. The Sapphosophy Archive hopes to show another perspective, the female gaze, or the womens point of view, by publishing lesbian comment on imagery in art, we hope to address the imbalance in art documentation.

We welcome your essays about imagery in art, art works by or about women and womans sexuality. We are interested in all women artists and would love to have any news, views and comment.
